What is It like to be a reflexologist?

What am I looking for when giving a reflexology?

I look at the shape of your feet, the length of the toes against each other, the temperature, any markings, I feel for any gritty sensations around the reflex points.
I use certain protocols all depending on what you’ve come to the therapy room for.
My aim is always for you to reconnect with yourself and for you to have a better understanding of your body.

Why is it called Reflexology?

Because our body is constantly giving out messages for us to respond to.
The reflexes on our feet, hands, face and ears are the messages that we are looking for.

What do my clients expect after the session?

They are always interested to see what reflexes have stood out during the session.

I give them an over view of my findings and if they don’t make immediate sense I offer an emotional connection to the reflex points.  That usually triggers a memory about their health or wellbeing at a certain time.

Sometimes I come straight out with “do you have any issues with your sinuses” (for example) and my clients will come out with a story of how their health has been affected in the area that I have mentioned.

As well as the physical aspect, reflexology is about providing the space for you to connect with your internal dialogue, whether it be sensations, emotions or memories.  There are times when you are ready to let go of some of these and Reflexology is a wonderful healing therapy to allow you to do that.  That is where the transformation is so you can go on to feel lighter, brighter and live your life in a more connected way.

What are you experiences with Reflexology?

I’d love to know x
