Gua Sha Facial Tool
The Gua Sha facial tool is becoming more popular to use as part of your daily facial routine.
It is a way to enhance your natural beauty by plumping and toning the skin, smoothing fine lines and improving lymphatic drainage.
But what is it made of and where did it come from?
The Gua Sha originated from ancient China. They were used if someone was overcome with heat stroke in the paddy fields or came down with a fever. Scraping movements over the skin of the poorly persons body encouraged the blood to raise to the surface of the skin, stimulate circulation and help release toxins and the fever.
Gua Sha on the face is used in a more gentle way. Firm yet relaxing strokes on the face and neck to promote lymph drainage, renewal of collagen and elastin to plump the skin, tone the facial muscles and rubbing techniques to smooth fine lines.
When using the Gua Sha on your face always make sure you have enough facial oil to prevent any friction or pulling of the skin.
Always use gliding movements and sweep towards the hair line and neck to clear toxins into your lymph system.
You can pop your Gua Sha into the fridge for an hour and then use it to reduce puffy eyes and cool any redness on your face.
How to clean your Gua Sha
Clean your Gua Sha with gentle soap and warm water or colloidal silver. Pat it dry with a cloth or paper towel.
