How to alleviate jaw tension

Did you know the strongest muscle in your body is the masseter muscle found in your jaw and cheek?

At night we can subconsciously chew and create tension in our jaw and cheek area.

It’s the place where we hold the most tension and it may lead to Bruxism or teeth grinding and clenching.

SYMPTOMS OF JAW TENSION & BRUXISM

  • Toothache or movement
  • Reduced Sleep Quality
  • Tense shoulders

These are some common causes that may exacerbate this condition.

  • Caffeine

  • Lifestyle and work stress
  • Medication for sleep disruption or depression
  • Hormonal changes during menopause
